Lesson at Fox View Farm
Lessons for the Bucknell University Equestrian Team are held at Fox View Farms, a local stable about 10 minutes from campus. Lessons are taught by our head coach or assistant coach based on riding level (see more about our coaches below).
Lessons are held for 10 weeks each semester and are one hour in length. They generally consist of a half hour spent on the flat and a half hour over fences. Riders are placed in lessons groups based on past riding levels and their academic schedules. Each rider will ride once a week, unless they elect to pay for more lessons.
Transportation is provided for each lesson by a student that has a car on campus. Riders are expected to meet an hour before the lesson starts to drive to FVF and then tack up their assigned horses.

Lessons are taught by Farra Phillips-Hillyard, our head coach, or Kristin Rosinski, our assistant coach.
Farra Phillips-Hillyard has trained with Debbie Stephens, Ronnie Mutch & John Roper. Farra has qualified many horses to the Pennsylvania National Horse Show and the Washington International Horse Show in the Junior Hunter Division and Regular Working Hunter. In addition to showing and qualifying horses for national horse shows, Farra aims to build confidence and knowledge in training riders, horses, and ponies of all abilities. Fox View Farm specializes in a comprehensive approach to riding for the serious horse show competitor as well as those just getting started.
